ROGERS, Ark. — Jessie Quarles, 80, formerly of Rochelle, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2024 at the Jamestown Nursing and Rehab Center in Rogers, Arkansas.  He was born on February 2, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Lorenzo and Maggie (Littlefield) Quarles.  Jessie proudly served in the US Army.  He married Chong “Angie” “Angel” Kim on December 7, 1966 in Seoul, South Korea.  Jessie worked as an over-the-road long haul truck driver.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Angie on June 6, 2011 and sister-in-law, Peggy Quarles.

Survived by his brother, Jerry Quarles of Pea Ridge, AR; sister, Shirley Marino of Cincinnati, OH; good friend, Bill Hahn of Rochelle and four nephews: Mike Quarles of Dallas, TX, Justin Quarles of Sacramento, CA, Jeremy Quarles of Lowell, AR and Frank Marino, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH.

Graveside funeral with military services provided by the Eastern Lee/Ogle Honor Guard will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Creston, IL with Judy Williams officiating.  The Unger-Horner Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.  Guest book at www.UngerHorner.com.
