SYCAMORE — Susan Jean (Kosterman) Bauman, 65, of Sycamore, passed away unexpectedly at her home Monday, January 22, 2024. 

She was born April 15, 1958 in Elgin, IL the daughter of Elmer Eugene and Gladys Mae (Gutzdorf) Kosterman. 

Susan was a graduate of Larkin High School, Class of 1976. Susan was an accounting specialist at Elgin Community college prior to her retirement. 

On December 25, 1983 Susan married Donald Bauman at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod in Elgin. 

She enjoyed traveling with her partner, Daniel. 

Survivors include her partner, Daniel Keen; her step-daughters Tammy Bauman and Christine Zdybel; two step-grandchildren Katelyn and Ethan of Elgin; her two brothers Donald (Kathy) Kosterman and David (Andrea) Kosterman; her sister Mary Jane Dieter; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; her brother Jim; and her sister Diane. 

At Susan’s request, there will be no services.
