ROCKFORD — Lois Ann Jaeger, age 97, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Wesley Willows in Rockford.  She was born on March 17, 1926 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Austin and Marie (Strang) Dunahoo. She married Raymond Jaeger on March 19, 1949, in Lindenwood. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2013.  

Lois worked at Holcomb State Bank for over forty years. She retired as the Assistant Vice President of  Bank Operations and was the first female on the bank’s Board of Directors. She loved her family, church, and work. Her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active and devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood, where she served on Ladies Aid and as a scripture reader. 

Lois is survived by her daughter, Leah (Scott) Anderson of La Valle, WI ; 3 grandchildren: Matthew (Holly) Anderson, Keri (Anthony) Collamati, and Kourtni (Trent) Urban; 7 great grandchildren: Brady and Addie Anderson, Hugo Ray, Rocco Collamati, and Kade, Tyson, and Silas Urban; sister Carol (David) Hegberg of DeKalb; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Lois is preceded in death by a brother, Glen Dunahoo; and a sister, Laura Duell. 

Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:30 am on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church,16060 E. Lindenwood Rd., Lindenwood. IL.  Funeral service will follow at 11:30 am on Saturday with Pastor Matthew Rosebrock officiating.  Cremation rites will follow services with burial at Lindenwood Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Serenity Hospice and Home.
