DEKALB — Marian D. Mikita, 94, of DeKalb, passed away Sept. 16, 2020 at Oak Crest in DeKalb.

Marian was born April 6, 1926 in Tampa, Florida, to the late Henry and Emma (Boutelier) Deiders.

Marian is survived by her children, Jean (Lester) Schiszik of Rochelle and George (Leona) Pappas of San Francisco, California; and four grandchildren, Alan Pappas, Sophia Pappas, Rebekah (Randall) Albrecht and Erik Schiszik.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister, Jean.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Rochelle, with Rev. Jason Carper officiating.
