OREGON — On April 2 at approximately 10:41 a.m. Kiana Smith, 33, of Aurora was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant. Smith posted bond and was released with a return court date of April 26 at 9 a.m.

On April 2 at approximately 10:38 a.m. Miguel A. Garcia Escutia, 32, of Rochelle, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear warrant. Garcia Escutia appeared in court and was released with a return court date of April 29 at 9 a.m.

On April 2 at 9:07 p.m. deputies with the assistance of Illinois State police, responded to a two-vehicle crash at Illinois Route 72 and Limestone Road. After an investigation, Katelyne Bearrows, 34, of Davis Junction, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Bearrows was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released with a notice to appear. Bearrows was also issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. 

On April 3 at approximately 11:07 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop on East Illinois Route 64 and Blackhawk Road in Oregon for improper lane usage. Upon further investigation deputies arrested Alexis Palma-Gonzalez, 27, of Rockford, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Palma-Gonzalez was also cited for improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol. Palma-Gonzalez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear with a future court date given.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
