Rochelle scored early against the Royals and never looked back, winning by a score of 7-0 to record its eighth shutout of the season. The Hubs (11-0-1, 3-0-1 NIB-12 West) will look to remain unbeaten when they play at Morris on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Senior Jessee Infante scored on an assist by senior Adolfo Flores to give the Hubs a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute. Infante added an unassisted goal in the 17th minute before Flores assisted sophomore Brayan Orozco’s goal in the 21st minute to put Rochelle up 3-0.
Juniors Austin Brown and Max Torres connected for Rochelle’s fourth goal of the game in the 28th minute, with Brown assisting Torres to give Rochelle a commanding 4-0 lead before halftime. Infante completed the hat trick when he scored on Brown’s second assist of the game early in the second half.
Brayan Orozco assisted his freshman brother Josue Orozco for another Rochelle goal to put the Hubs ahead 6-0 before Brayan scored his second goal of the game on an assist from Infante later in the second half.
