In January the museum will celebrate the 140th birthday of the City and Town Hall building, now home to the Flagg Township Museum, with an exhibit in its Cabinet of Curiosities about the building’s history and a party on Jan. 7 with all the birthday fixings...cake & ice cream, party hats and games!

Flagg Township Museum to celebrate building’s birthday Jan. 7

ROCHELLE — 2024 is just around the corner and because its building — The City and Town Hall — is celebrating its 140th birthday the Flagg Township Museum will be celebrating birthdays all year long.

Help it celebrate by sharing any special birthdays in your family or other ideas for birthdays it can celebrate.

In January the museum will celebrate the 140th birthday of the City and Town Hall building, now home to the Flagg Township Museum, with an exhibit in its Cabinet of Curiosities about the building’s history and a party on Jan. 7 with all the birthday fixings...cake & ice cream, party hats and games!

The museum hopes to celebrate many birthdays during 2023 including Rochelle churches, banks, schools and people. The museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The mission of the Flagg Township Historical Society and Museum is to stimulate interest in Flagg Township history through education, research, collection and preservation of information for the benefit of the public of today and in the future.
