ROCHELLE — The Flagg Township Museum and the United Methodist Church are hosting a celebration honoring Betty Barnes’ 100th Birthday on Friday, May 25 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event will be held at the Flagg Township Museum located at 518 Fourth Ave.
Barnes is one of the founding members of the historical society and along with her husband would do programs for young area students on local and Native American history.

Over the years Barnes has contributed countless hours collecting information on history as well as genealogy.
“The museum values the wealth of information she has gathered throughout her life, which allows us to share with the community,” said Kathy Johnson, Museum Director.
Stop by to wish Barnes a happy birthday and have a piece of cake.
In lieu of gifts, a donation to the museum or to the Rochelle United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
