The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team returned to T-Byrd Lanes for its second home match in two days on Wednesday evening. Junior Cassidy Vincent rolled a team-high 555 series, while sophomore Kylie McCullough added a 452 series as the Lady Hubs fell 2,769-2,415 against Sterling. Rochelle (4-3, 3-2 Interstate 8) will face Ottawa on the road next Wednesday.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team returned to T-Byrd Lanes for its second home match in two days on Wednesday evening. Junior Cassidy Vincent rolled a team-high 555 series, while sophomore Kylie McCullough added a 452 series as the Lady Hubs fell 2,769-2,415 against Sterling. Rochelle (4-3, 3-2 Interstate 8) will face Ottawa on the road next Wednesday.

Sterling surged ahead in the series score with a 994-796 victory in the first game. Sarah Doughty's 201 was the high score for the Golden Warriors in the opening game, while Vincent's 179 was the high score on the Rochelle side. Sterling edged the Lady Hubs 862-822 in the second game, with Vincent firing a series-best 203 to lead the Rochelle side.

Sterling clinched the nonconference sweep with a 913-797 victory in the third and final game of the series. Vincent scored a 173 and McCullough added a series-best 158 for the Lady Hubs, while Olivia Barton fired a series-best 204 to finish with a team-high 537 series for the Golden Warriors.
