OREGON — A Rochelle woman pled guilty in Ogle County court on Monday to the Class A misdemeanor offense of reckless driving involving a fatal crash in 2015.
Emily Jahnke, 23, Rochelle, was charged in September 2015 following an indictment by an Ogle County grand jury on the Class 4 felony offense of aggravated reckless driving.
The accident took place on June 10, 2015 northeast of Creston in the 18000 block of East Gillis Road. Passenger Anna Speed, 19, of Kings, died from injuries suffered in the crash. Jahnke and another passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Following her guilty plea Monday, Jahnke was ordered to pay fines and costs from the proceedings totaling $1,000.
