Teen ticketed following two-vehicle accident

On Jan. 17 at approximately 3:44 p.m., Ogle County deputies, the Mt. Morris Police Department, along with the Mt. Morris Fire department and EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 3700 block of West Illinois Route 64. After an investigation, it was learned that a 16-year-old female from Mt. Morris lost control of her vehicle on the snowy roadway. The female slid across the roadway and struck an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Jeffery Singley, 49, of Forreston, was transported to FHN Hospital in Freeport for minor injuries. The female was issued a citation for driving too fast for conditions. The owner of both vehicles requested Dyers towing to remove the vehicles

On Jan. 20 at 5:43 p.m., following a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at milemarker 111, deputies arrested Alfredo Hernandez-Gonzalez, 43, of Indianapolis, Indiana, for with no valid driver’s license. Hernandez-Gonzalez was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Jan. 20 at 12:27 p.m., the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Forreston Police Department, Forreston Fire Department and the Forreston Ambulance responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Illinois Route 26 at Lanark Road. A gray Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 26 when the vehicle drove onto the shoulder of the road. The driver, Kevin M. Brill, 62, of Forreston, corrected back on the roadway causing the vehicle to lose control. The vehicle skidded across the road striking an embankment on the east side of Illinois Route 26.  The vehicle then rolled over in the ditch coming to a stop on its roof. Brill was extricated from the vehicle by the Forreston Fire Department and then transported to Freeport Memorial Hospital with minor injuries by the Forreston Ambulance.
