Speech team competes at two tournaments over weekend

ROCHELLE — This past Saturday the Rochelle Township High School Speech Team competed in the NIB-12 Conference Tournament and the Sandwich Invitational.  
At the conference meet, Rochelle took second place behind Morris in the team standings.  Individuals who were conference finalists included:
Baxter Konstans and Joe Worthington, Conference Champions, Humorous Duet Acting;
Maggie Duval, Conference Champion, Oratorical Declamation;
Judy Fulgencio, Conference Champion, Poetry Reading;
Lauren Ponto, Conference Champion, Special Occasion Speaking;
Addison Curtis, second place, Oratorical Declamation;
Lauren Ponto, second place, Prose Reading;
Cara Forsberg, second place, Radio Speaking;
Mallory Leininger, third place, Humorous Interpretation;
Cara Forsberg, third place, Informative Speaking;

Xavier Arriaga, third place, Radio Speaking;
Joe Worthington, third place, Original Comedy;
Mallory Leininger, fourth place, Original Comedy
Faith Worthington, fourth place, Impromptu Speaking;
Maggie Duval, fourth place, Special Occasion Speaking;

Ariel Zuercher and Baxter Konstans, fifth place, Dramatic Duet Acting;

Noah Garrelts and Anna Samo, sixth place, Dramatic Duet Acting.
