The Rochelle Rays Swim Team wrapped up the 2021 summer season with its Family Olympics meet at Spring Lake Pool on Thursday, July 22. Members of the Rochelle Rays united with family members and local swimmers to compete in a variety of events including inner tube relays, T-shirt relays, kickboard relays and corkscrew relays. The meet also featured individual events for ages 3-99, a $100-plus coin drive and a biggest splash competition.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Rays Swim Team wrapped up the 2021 summer season with its Family Olympics meet at Spring Lake Pool on Thursday, July 22. Members of the Rochelle Rays united with family members and local swimmers to compete in a variety of events including inner tube relays, T-shirt relays, kickboard relays and corkscrew relays. The meet also featured individual events for ages 3-99, a $100-plus coin drive and a biggest splash competition.

Leyna Dicus won the girls 25-yard kickboard freestyle with a time of 30.20 seconds. Joey Haedt finished second with a time of 34.15 and Annalyn Good took third with a time of 57.19. Gavin Smith won the boys 25-yard kickboard freestyle with a time of 28.30 while Brody Lofthouse finished second with a time of 48.40 and Brayden Egland took third with a time of 49.68.

10U

Rowan Thompson won the girls 25-yard freestyle with a time of 17.60 while Sydney Burke finished second with a time of 17.92 and Berkeley Thompson took third with a time of 19.50. Joah Horner won the boys 25-yard freestyle with a time of 15.45 while Elijah Good finished second with a time of 19.48 and Danny Garcia took third with a time of 19.67.

Tess Kissack won the girls 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 26.00 while Rowan Thompson finished second with a time of 27.00 and Burke took third with a time of 27.02. Horner won the boys 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 25.60 while Good finished second with a time of 26.60 and Grange Kissack took third with a time of 32.38.

Tess Kissack won the girls 25-yard backstroke with a time of 22.55 while Burke finished second with a time of 23.25 and Berkeley Thompson took third with a time of 24.69. Horner won the boys 25-yard backstroke with a time of 19.52 while Good finished second with a time of 26.40 and Grange Kissack took third with a time of 27.55.

Emma Kennay won the girls 50-yard freestyle with a time of 30.46 while Michelle McCandless finished second with a time of 33.60 and Kendyl Darby took third with a time of 34.45. Nolan Johnson won the boys 50-yard freestyle with a time of 32.60 while Landon Ege finished second with a time of 34.71 and Jaime Christensen took third with a time of 38.71.

Kennay won the girls 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 43.47 while Meredith Bruns and Darby tied for second with a time of 47.10 and Sydney Carmichael took fourth with a time of 48.80. Johnson won the boys 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 46.71 while Bryson Stewart finished second with a time of 48.30 and Landon McCandless took third with a time of 56.00.

Michelle McCandless won the girls 50-yard backstroke with a time of 41.10 while Kennay finished second with a time of 41.50 and Reese Kissack took third with a time of 45.15. Johnson won the boys 50-yard backstroke with a time of 47.25 while Ege finished second with a time of 47.46 and Samuel Hilleson took third with a time of 49.80.

Olivia Sergeant won the girls 50-yard freestyle with a time of 31.90 while Sara Johnson finished second with a time of 32.26 and Baylie Sutton took third with a time of 35.36. Caleb Johnson won the boys 50-yard freestyle in 39.20. Sara Johnson won the girls 50-yard breaststroke in 41.12 while Sergeant finished second in 44.44 and Sutton took third in 49.99.

Trey Taft won the boys 50-yard breaststroke in 42.50 while Caleb Johnson finished second in 50.43. Sara Johnson won the girls 50-yard backstroke with a time of 40.86 while Karyssa Dale finished second with a time of 50.10 and Emma Hilleson took third with a time of 54.70.
