ROCHELLE — Rochelle Middle School eighth grade students took part in the Rochelle Elementary District #231 promotional exercise Friday night in the Rochelle Township High School gymnasium. A total of 176 students took part in the ceremony led by RMS principal Tony Doyle and district superintendent Todd Prusator.
A variety of awards were presented, including the VFW Outstanding Citizen Award given to Willow Ames, academic achievement awards for students maintaining a 3.5 grade point average over three years, students maintaining a 3.0 grade point average over three years, and a variety of music awards.
