Rochelle Hub Hickory Nut 4-H Cloverbuds have scary good time

ROCHELLE – Are you 5 to 8 years old and interested in all things eight-legged and hairy?
The Rochelle Hub Hickory Nut 4-H Cloverbuds had a scary good time at their October meeting. Junior Leader, Anne Kennedy, taught the youngest 4-H members about spiders. They spun white chocolate and pretzel webs.
They also learned about spider behavior by making Itsy-Bitsy Spider Mini Books. To wrap up their webby good night, the Cloverbuds played a ghouly-great relay race.
Using skeleton arms, the two teams dashed to put spooky eye balls into Halloween buckets.
Spiders not your thing? Next month, the Cloverbuds will have a “Hoot of a Time” learning about Owls. Come check us out on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Rochelle United Methodist Church.
