ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Community Foundation will accept applications for grant funding from nonprofit organizations during the month of February. Focus areas include, but are not limited to arts and culture, education, health & wellness, social services, community development and hunger relief.
“Contributions by members of our community through individual donations, payroll deduction, corporate and business support make this work possible,” said executive director Kim Montgomery. “Since the first grants were made in 2006, the Foundation has been able to return more than $500,000 to programs and projects of more than 78 nonprofit organizations. These include classrooms, schools, libraries, and a wide range of service providers in the community.”
