ROCHELLE — Robert (Bob) Gruben, 60, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Oct. 15, 2019.
Bob was born in Rochelle on Aug. 11,1959 to Victor and Lucille Gruben.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Patricia (Gruben) Hunter and Victoria (Gruben) Stewart and his brother, Dan Gruben.
Bob is survived by his lifelong partner, Karen Weller Terranella, and his three children, Joe Mershon, Kori (Donny) Moroney and Dustin Gruben, as well as his five wonderful grandchildren.  
Bob is also survived by his two sisters, Carol Mifflin, Debbie (Bill) Hunley and his brother, John (Jonne) Gruben as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was a lifelong member of the Rochelle Moose Lodge #903. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, photograph and playing cards with his friends and family. He also loved flying his drone and seeing Rochelle and the surrounding areas from high in the sky.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Rochelle Moose lodge #903 on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Food, coffee and lemonade will be provided. Family and friends are welcome to come and help us celebrate his memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Bob’s name to the Rochelle Moose Lodge #903.
