DAVIS JUNCTION — On Thursday night, Dec. 20, Gary Hollingsworth of Holcomb had the opportunity to meet and thank the EMS providers that treated him after an almost fatal heart attack on Aug. 31.
The EMS providers were from the Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department, Stillman Fire District and an Ogle County Sheriff’s Department dispatcher.
Also on hand was an old friend, Russell Carlson, who was with him at the time of his heart attack and provided life saving CPR until the first responders arrived.
Carlson of Stillman Valley was presented a 911 Hero Award by Sheriff Brian VanVickle, representing the Ogle County 911 Board.
