ROCHELLE — During a special virtual session Wednesday evening, Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District commissioners approved bids for construction work on the playground and south parking lot of the REC Center while also approving a bid for sports equipment.
Park board commissioners approved a bid amounting $33,055.56 from Kompan for a playground that will be placed slightly east of the main entrance of the REC Center. The playground will be purchased with funds donated from the Hayden family.
Two additional bids approved Wednesday evening included a bid not to exceed $15,000 for sports equipment from BSN Sports and a bid amounting $53,440 from Norwest Construction for work on the south parking lot of the REC Center.
