ROCHELLE — Michael N. Hobbs, 53, of Rochelle, died at Rochelle Community Hospital Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018. He was born June 30, 1965, in Dixon, the son of Walter and Roberta (Eller) Hobbs.
Michael had worked as a Supervisor for TLC in Rochelle, as well as a farmhand for Bruns-Gensler also in Rochelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter Hobbs, Jr., and Rodney Hobbs; and one sister, Martha Hobbs.
Survivors include four children, Heather (Benjamin) Kraft of Dixon, Steven (Allison Dunne) Hobbs of Amboy, and Allyssa Hobbs and Madisyn Hobbs both of Sterling; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Malvina (Bill) Levan of Amboy and Monica (Mike) Acuff of LaMoille; one brother, Jeremey (Jodi) Hobbs of Amboy; and his special friend, Jennifer Marshall, of Ottawa.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Private burial of cremains will be at a later date.
