Man arrested on domestic battery charge

On Oct. 15 at approximately 8 p.m., deputies responded to Byron in reference to a domestic disturbance that occurred. After an investigation, deputies arrested Timothy P. Grillo, 29, of Byron, for domestic battery. Grillo was also taken into custody on a Stephenson County warrant. Grillo was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.
Oct. 16
On Oct. 16, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 39. Following a short investigation deputies arrested Antonio Martinez, 41, of Denver, Colorado, for driving while license suspended. Martinez was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
On Oct. 16, William DeLong, 58, of Dixon, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant. DeLong posted the $3,000/10 percent bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with future court date on Nov. 8 at 9 a.m.

Oct. 17
On Oct. 17, the Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Madison Anderson, 22, of Lindenwood, for driving while license suspended. Anderson was arrested by deputies on Mulford Road near Monroe Center after being stopped for speeding. Anderson was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
On Oct. 17 at approximately 2 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Flagg and Daysville Road, due to a license plate violation. After a brief investigation Ruben E. Garza of Tennessee, 58, was placed under arrest for obstructing justice and resisting arrest. Ruben was then transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Oct. 17, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew McKenzie, 50, of Oregon. McKenzie was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for speeding. He was unable to post 3,000/10 percent bond and appeared in court on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.
