Man arrested for driving while license suspended

On Jan. 7 at 8:42 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 88 at mile marker 75 westbound on a 2003 Toyota for an equipment violation.  After a short investigation, deputies arrested Ronald Jason Santiago, 47, of Davenport, Iowa, for driving while license suspended. Santiago was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On Jan. 8 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Hedge Road and Water Road in Byron, for a one vehicle accident. After an investigation, it was determined that a 2015 Ford F150 pickup being driven by Claude Yoakum, 60, of Byron, was traveling on Hedge Road toward Water Road. Yoakum’s vehicle crossed Water Road, at a slow speed, and struck a tree where the vehicle stopped. Yoakum was transported to SwedishAmerican Hospital by Byron EMS personnel. Yoakum’s condition is not known at the time of his release.
On Jan. 8 the following people were arrested for Ogle County outstanding warrants:

Thomas Minton, 36, of Rockford, for an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear warrant. Minton had a bond of $1,735. Minton posted bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with no return court date.
Juan Olguin, 37, of Rochelle, for an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear warrant as well as a petition to revoke. Olguin had a bond of $5,000/10 percent and $666 Full Cash. Olguin did not post bond and was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8.
Matthew Marsili, 48, of Cherry Valley, for an outstanding Ogle County failure to appear warrant. Marsili had a bond of $1,000. Marsili did not post bond and was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8.
