ROCHELLE — Local dog and cat owners are welcome to attend a low-cost vaccine clinic for their pets on Friday, April 12 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Big R Store in Rochelle.
Just Animals is conducting the clinic and will be offering exams for both cats and dogs for $12, most vaccines for $12, heartworm tests for $20 and microchipping for $25.
“Animal care is close to people's hearts but not always in the budget,” said Judy Guske. “Just Animals is bringing affordable basic care to the surrounding communities. The clinics offer several basic vaccines including rabies vaccines, heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, flea and tick preventative, FIV/FELV tests for cats, microchipping, deworming and basic exams.”
Residents should register online at www.justanimals.org or call 815-830-6568 to line up an appointment for the clinic.
“Every clinic helps 80-100 animals and their wonderful caretakers. In this economy, we need to help all the dogs and cats we can,” Guske said. “We are so happy to be part of the community and want to make a positive impact.”
Big R is located at 1240 N 7th St. in Rochelle.
