ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lions Club annual Rose Day is underway and the club is now accepting donations and orders.

Rose Day will be on Saturday, April 17. All roses ordered can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the alley behind Colonial Flower Shoppe, 408 Lincoln Hwy. in downtown Rochelle.

Rose Day is the biggest fundraiser for the Lions Club.

With the community’s donations, the club helps supports several activities and programs, including scholarships to Rochelle Township High School seniors, the visually and hearing impaired, Leader Dog training, Camp Lions for blind and deaf children, Little League sponsorship and many other non-profit programs and projects.

Rose donations are $18 per dozen and delivery is available.

You can order your roses in advance at Colonial Flower Shoppe by calling (815) 562-8101, or you can contact Lion Tom Hill at (815) 980-8788 or Margie Kuehl at (815) 562-6711.
