The Lady Hubs track and field team successfully completed its three-peat with a victory during the 46th Annual Ogle County Track Meet at Rochelle Township High School on Tuesday. The girls scored 151 points for first place, while Rochelle’s boys team scored 84 points to place second overall. Forreston-Polo won the boys division title with 148 points.

ROCHELLE — The Lady Hubs track and field team successfully completed its three-peat with a victory during the 46th Annual Ogle County Track Meet at Rochelle Township High School on Tuesday. The girls scored 151 points for first place, while Rochelle’s boys team scored 84 points to place second overall. Forreston-Polo won the boys division title with 148 points.

The Hubs will race in the Northern Illinois Invitational at Beloit College on Friday at 5 p.m., while the Lady Hubs will battle for the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Championships at Ottawa on Friday at 4 p.m.

Girls

Senior Morgan Baker took first place in the long jump with a distance of 15-7, while junior Abby Tilton finished third at 14-6 ½. Sophomore Maddie Ohlinger placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 31-5 ½ and junior Cam Turner was fourth at 29-7 ½. Senior Alexis Bialas finished fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 7 feet.

Senior Jacie Wyatt claimed first place in the high jump with a clearance of 4-10. Sophomore Gabrielle Harding led the Lady Hubs in the throwing events, placing first in the discus with a mark of 108-8 and finishing third in the shot put with a heave of 32-8 ½. Freshman Afi Gati took fourth place in the shot put (30 feet) and senior Allysa Harding was third in the discus (94-9).

Rochelle’s 3200-meter relay team of Baker, senior Hannah Cruz, Turner and sophomore Emma Smith finished first with a time of 11:17.00. The Lady Hubs also won the 400-meter relay with a time of 50.75 seconds behind senior Cesca Vardman, Wyatt, senior Morgan Knight and sophomore Macey Ryan. Junior Katherine Bakken took first place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:38.59 and sophomore Britney Baez was third in 14:19.88.

Tilton took third place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.59 while junior Cheyene Watson was fifth in 18.44. Ryan won the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.09, edging her teammate Vardman who finished second in 13.46. Smith and Turner placed fifth and sixth in the 800-meter run with respective times of 2:52.23 and 2:52.98.

Rochelle finished first in the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:51.31 behind Vardman, Wyatt, Baker and freshman Sofia Lenkaitis. Knight placed second in the 400-meter dash (1:03.09) and Ryan took third place (1:04.55). Tilton and Watson finished third and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with respective times of 51.39 and 54.15.

Bakken won the 1600-meter run while Baez finished fifth. Wyatt finished first in the 200-meter dash (27.42) with Ryan taking third place (28.41). Rochelle’s 1600-meter relay team of Tilton, Baker, Lenkaitis and Knight won with a time of 4:18.46.

Boys

Junior Mason DeLille finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 40-5 ¾ while freshman Trevor Goodwin placed third at 38-8 ½. Sophomore Aaron Vondergathen took fourth place in the pole vault with a clearance of 9 feet and senior Bazil Bennett won the shot put with a heave of 46-8 with senior Zach Miller taking seventh (39-5 ½).

Bennett placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 119-6, and DeLille finished fifth in the long jump (17-10 ½) with junior Noah Knight placing sixth (17-8). DeLille took fourth place in the high jump with a clearance of 5-2.

Rochelle’s 3200-meter relay team of junior Connor Lenkaitis, sophomore Tucker Louis, freshman Dominic Williams and sophomore Ben Hickey finished fifth with a time of 10:23.61. The Hubs placed third in the 400-meter relay with a time of 46.90 behind junior Alex Louck, junior Greg Ricketts, Knight and Bennett.

Sophomore Gyvanziel Quinonez won the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:33.31 while sophomore Santi Cordoba placed third in 11:38.25. Junior Ryan Friestad finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.63 and senior Austin Tracey was third in the 100-meter dash (11.89) with junior Eddie Villalobos (12.00) taking fourth.

Quinonez (2:15.80) and Lenkaitis (2:17.65) finished fourth and fifth in the 800-meter run, respectively, while Rochelle’s 800-meter relay team of sophomore Evan Horner, Ricketts, Knight and senior DiQuan Ishmon took fourth in 1:39.32. Villalobos won the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.60 and Tracey placed fourth in 55.50.

Goodwin finished seventh in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.70 and Quinonez took second in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:06.24 while Cordoba placed fifth (5:24.78). Villalobos took third place in the 200-meter dash (24.67) and senior Ben Pflipsen was sixth in 27.15. Rochelle’s 1600-meter relay team of Lenkaitis, Ricketts, Knight and Quinonez was fourth in 3:44.08.
