PLANT CITY, Fla. — Kristi Allison Bennett Scott, 49, of Plant City, Fla., born Nov. 19, 1968, and raised in Rochelle, passed peacefully into the presence of Christ on Oct. 23, 2018, after a long illness.
Kristi was a graduate of Rochelle Township High School (Class of 1986), Florida College (A.A., 1988) and the University of North Alabama (B.A., 1990). After a long career in retail, Kristi most recently worked in the office of the Upper Cervical Center of Brandon, Fla.
Kristi was a member of the Church of Christ at Valrico, Fla., where she was an invaluable partner in the ministry of her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Shane Scott; her parents, Bob and Jackie Bennett; her sister, Kelli (Ryan) Gilchrest; her niece, Darby Allison Gilchrest; and her lifelong friend, Rebecca (Lon) Spurgeon, Kristi is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at the Temple Terrace Church of Christ in Temple Terrace, Fla. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.
