GERMANTOWN, Wis. — Joyce Cooper Digerness, 91, of Germantown, Wis., passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Joyce was born Feb. 20, 1927 in Sublette, the daughter of Lawrence Peter and Cuba (Fryer) Cooper II.
She married Dale Justin Digerness on Nov. 21, 1953 in Bozeman, Mont. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1995.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Peter Cooper III.
Upon retirement, Joyce and Dale moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Joyce loved her home there and especially enjoyed hosting family and friends. She loved to travel and took her grandchildren on several European trips and cruises. 
Joyce is survived by her two children, Kathleen (Tom McInerney) Dunn of Viroqua, Wis., and Mark C. (Ann) Digerness of Richfield, Wis.; five grandchildren, Sarah (Kaley), Marissa, Amanda (Mike), Megan (Brent), and Kelly (Tim); and two great-grandchildren, Henry and Layla.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St. in Rochelle. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Contributions in Joyce’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
