ROCHELLE — The Lady Hub tennis team played its second match of the week Tuesday evening, with the Rochelle netters falling against Sycamore 5-0 to move to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Interstate 8 Conference. The Spartans swept singles play, as Ella Sharp topped Rochelle senior Anna Guevara 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Ashley Olson won 6-2, 6-4 over Lady Hub junior Megan Thompson at No. 2 singles.
Abby Golembiewski and Olivia King fought off Rochelle juniors Jordin Dickey and MeLisa Young 7-5, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, while Emma Hardin and Abby Bourdage defeated Lady Hub senior Sawyer McGee and junior Sylvia Hasz 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. Megan McConnaughay and Jordyn Block topped Rochelle juniors Emma Hicks and Josie Lundquist 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.
