ROCHELLE — The Lady Hubs were neck-and-neck with the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers across all three games during Interstate 8 Conference play on Wednesday. But the Rochelle rollers were unable to secure their first win of the season, falling 2,640-2,407 and dropping to 0-9 overall.
Sophomore Alyssa Mickley helped Rochelle keep pace with LaSalle-Peru in the opening game, striking three times over the final four games and finishing with 193. The Cavaliers edged out the Lady Hubs 845-783 despite Mickley rolling the high game for both teams.
Kaitlynn Bauer recorded 192 and Isabella Weber added 181 for LaSalle-Peru in the second game, which the Cavaliers claimed 930-831. Mickley led Rochelle with 160 while sophomore Alyssa Schwanert totaled 151.
LaSalle-Peru completed the sweep with an 865-793 victory in the third game behind Cassidy Antle’s 186. Mickley fired 156 for a team-leading 509 series, with Schwanert adding 153 for a 417 series. Sophomore Anna Samo rolled a 424 series with a high score of 153.
Sycamore
The Lady Hubs battled Sycamore on the road Tuesday evening, losing by a score of 3,308-2,355. Alyssa Mickley rolled Rochelle's high series score (433) while junior Kiya Porter added 426 and Alyssa Schwanert totaled 423. Maddie Lathrop led the Spartans with 657 and a high game of 258.
