ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Community Foundation announced Thursday the creation of a new fund.
The Dual Language Educators Scholarship fund is designed to support the educational efforts of future bilingual teachers who plan to work in the Rochelle schools. The purpose is to support expenses towards tuition at Kishwaukee College for students who are committed to teaching in Rochelle schools’ bilingual and dual language programming after graduation.
The fund was started with a generous donation from the Crawford Foundation. The Rochelle Area Community Foundation is pleased to assist the district in providing support for the educational needs of future teachers who will serve the students of Rochelle for generations to come.
Anyone can support the fund with a tax-deductible contribution to the Rochelle Area Community Foundation with the name of the fund included on the check, or electronically through the RACF’s website at www.rochellefoundation.org.
The Rochelle Area Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization designed to connect people who care with causes that matter most to them, here in the Rochelle area.
