ROCHELLE — The Rochelle School District 231 Board of Education approved a series of contracts to bolster the district’s HUB Project during its monthly meeting Tuesday evening at the Rochelle Middle School Media Center.
Superintendent Todd Prusator announced Tuesday the district would once again receive 21st Century grant money for the five-year program. Breynn Baiocco will continue serving as site coordinator at Lincoln School and May School, while Yensy Garcia will remain the site coordinator of Central School.
Additionally, the board approved the one-year contract of Sue Haney, who will return as evaluator for the 21st Century Grant, which funds the HUB Project each school year. The grant provided $100,000 for the HUB Project in 2016-17.
The HUB Project provides extended learning programs for students and families of greatest need. The project offers after-school programming as well as homework help and other additional activities for students and parents.
The project is led by Jodee Craven.
