ROCHELLE — Evelyn Amelia Albrect, 100, of Rochelle, passed away on Jan. 10, 2019. Evelyn was born on April 21, 1918 in Ashton to Charles and Emma (Ehlbeck) Eich.
She owned and operated a clothing store in Ashton and worked on a family farm. She also worked at local restaurants and grocery stores. She took a lot of pride in raising her three boys.
Evelyn is survived by her three children, Jerry (Maureen) Albrecht of St. Charles, Missouri, Duane (Jenny) Albrecht of Pawnee, and Steen (Bonnie) Albrecht of Ashton; one sister, Gertrude Patterson of Elgin; as well as nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Marcus; five brothers, Harold, Raymond, Willis, Ernest and Leroy; and four sisters, Ella, Louise, Leona and Aleta.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 803 Paddock Ave., Ashton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ashton Cemetery.
