ROCHELLE — Rochelle Kiwanis Golden K hosted the Illinois/Eastern Iowa District Governor visit with a banquet at the Hickory Grove Banquet Center recently.
The governor, Charles Smith, spoke to Kiwanis members from three divisions, representing 18 clubs from Northern Illinois, about maintaining current members and bringing in new members.
Kiwanis serves children around the world. The governor emphasized the importance of bringing new members into Kiwanis. Each current Kiwanis member impacts approximately 206 children.
Also, Smith talked about the importance of communication between the club members and division officers in order to keep current on Kiwanis activities.
