ROCHELLE — Daniel “Dan” D. Sheehy, 53, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 at St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 16, 1965 in Chicago, the son of Raymond D. and Edna (Burnheimer) Sheehy.
Dan graduated from Maine West High School in Des Plaines and worked as a security guard prior to his medical disability. He was an avid movie collector, and loved to go see movies at the theater. Dan enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bulls.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Carol (Charlie) Benge of Rochelle; brother, Jim (Annette Chu) Sheehy of Rochelle; four nieces and nephews, Brandon, Ashley and Dylan Benge, and Victoria Sheehy; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Cremation care is being provided by the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St. Rochelle. A memorial has been established to the family.
