CRESTON — It has been 19 years since the last play was held at the Opera House by the Creston C.O.H.R.N. C.O.B.S. in 2000. The play was called the Cemetery Club and the cast was made up of Creston residents.
This April, community theater is once again making its debut in the newly renovated Creston Opera House. The play is titled Laugh Out Loud, and is a salute to the 60s and 70s comedy television show Laugh In.
You will see all the usual characters from the TV show, with a few unexpected songs and skits created for the production. The play was written and directed by Deanna Forrest, a Creston resident who had performed in all 13 plays which were presented between 1988 and 2000. Other members of the cast are not only from Creston, but also Malta, Rochelle, Sterling and DeKalb.
