Congressional candidate meet and greet Wednesday

Posted

ROCHELLE — Area residents are invited to attend an event to meet Sara Dady, candidate for Illinois’ 16th District, at El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant located at 1310 N. Seventh Street in Rochelle.
The district encompasses 14 counties, including Ogle, Lee, Boone, Bureau, Grundy, Iroquois, LaSalle, Livingston, Putnam, and parts of DeKalb, Ford, Stark, Will, and Winnebago.
Dady, seeking the nomination for the Democratic congressional seat, is a Rockford native and a lawyer specializing in immigration law at Dady and Hoffman in Rockford.
From Dady’s bio

As a small business owner, I understand the importance of growing our economy. Growing our economy means supporting our small businesses, farms and unions; improving education and opportunities for our children; and defending access to quality and affordable healthcare. When my mother died unexpectedly in 2004 because she was uninsured and didn’t have access to the medical care she needed, my husband and I returned to my hometown, Rockford, to raise our family. My kids go to the same public schools I went to, and are in the same 4-H club. I started my immigration law practice out of the living room of my house and a decade later, I have the largest immigration law firm west of Chicagoland. The American Dream is doing a job you take pride in and being able to support your family. The 16th district is the head and heart of Illinois, and together we have the potential to be so much more than we are. My campaign will be run with the same values I will bring to Washington — proven leadership that brings together constituents from every corner of the district. I am running for Congress because we need accessible, accountable representation working for a better future for everyone.
