ROCHELLE — A fundraiser benefitting Mary Austin is planned for. Saturday, Jan. 28 at the VFW in Rochelle at 318 4^th Ave. from noon to 4 p.m.

The funds raised will help Austin with unexpected medical expenses after she was diagnosed with colon cancer and has undergone two surgeries with complications and extended hospital stays. She’s currently going through chemotherapy with one surgery yet to come. The event will include raffles for bigger items, a TV raffle for $10 a square, 50/50 drawings and silent auctions.

Dinner tickets cost $10 apiece and includes a choice of pork chops or pulled pork with various sides and cookies.
