ROCHELLE — Rochelle police made an arrest following a reported shooting in Rochelle early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, June 16 at approximately 2:30 a.m. the Rochelle Police Department responded to the 200 block of N. Washington Street in reference to the report of gunshots being fired. Witnesses reported seeing a female allegedly fire a shot and flee the area. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
Upon further investigation, a suspect was identified and interviewed and released pending further investigation.
Detectives subsequently executed a search warrant on the suspect vehicle and gathered evidence of the shooting.

On Monday, June 17, the Ogle County State’s Attorney’s office authorized the charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm, a Class 1 Felony, for the arrest of Raquel M. Godina, 38, of Rochelle. Godina was subsequently taken into custody by Rochelle Detectives and transported to the Ogle County Jail.
Godina appeared in court Tuesday where she was given a $10,000 recognizance bond and a return court date of July 10.
