GRAVOIS MILLS, Missouri — It is with a very sad heart that we announce the death of Anna Marie Baker, 61, of Gravois Mills, Missouri. Anna passed away at her new lake house on Christmas morning.

She was born in Flint, Michigan, on Jan. 10, 1957.

Anna was married to the love of her life, Ray Baker, for 41 years. They enjoyed many summers on the Harley and taking many vacations with friends and family.

Our mom worked many years at the Village of Progress. There she formed friendships that helped shape her outlook on life. Anna also loved meeting with her quilting ladies. Her family always reaped the benefits of her quilting classes. Her grandchildren brought so much joy to her heart. They were her whole world. She also had a bond with her sisters that was unbreakable.

Our mom had a laugh that was infectious and could light up the room or it would make you wonder what she was up to.

Anna was preceded in death by her father, Dickie Ray Floyd; and her sister, Amy Amos. We know that when mom arrived in Heaven, they greeted her with open arms and said welcome home.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Baker, of Gravois Mills, Missouri; and her daughters, Jamie Cater and husband Matt of Franklin Grove, and Bean Isom and husband Mike of Malta. She is survived and cherished by all of her grandkids, Jake Isom, Marcus Cater, Dezi Cater, Izzy Cater, and Mason Baker-Isom and her loving sisters, Debbie Scronce, Cindi Prinster and husband Randy and Tami Hance and husband Allen.  Anna also had a lot of nieces and nephews she loved dearly as her own.

We are planning a Celebration of Life for our mom in August.

If you would like to honor our mom, you can make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
