‘We appreciate your value to the hospital’

ROCHELLE — On Wednesday, the 22nd Annual Rochelle Community Hospital Foundation golf outing was held at Fairways Golf Course.

The outing was rescheduled from Sept. 12 due to rain. The proceeds from the outing will go to general health screenings for the public. RCH CEO Gregg Olson welcomed everyone to the event before the shotgun start Wednesday morning.

“It will go down in the archives as the outing that almost wasn't,” Olson said. “We have a good group today and we're happy everybody is here. We have great weather. You can't ask for much more than that. We want to mention the folks that made this happen. This takes a lot of time and energy to put together. Michelle LaPage, thank you for all the work you've done making this happen and having the reflexes to move things from last week to this week. A job well done. Bob Johns, our chairman of the golf committee, was very much a part of making this happen as well.”

Olson thanked the sponsors of the event. The titanium sponsor was OSF Healthcare and platinum sponsors were HolmstromKennedy, PointCore and Hayden Real Estate.

RCH Foundation Board Chairman Reed Harris spoke following Olson’s introduction.

“I want to thank you all for coming, especially on this new date,” Harris said. “I think it's great that we have this many participants and we appreciate your value to the hospital. I wanted to thank you for all your contributions you've given to the hospital over the many years you have. We're hoping to have more events in the future and we hope you can attend those.”
