ROCHELLE — Lilli Anna (Moore) Panttila, 25, passed away suddenly Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013. She was born Sept. 11, 1987 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.
She enjoyed attending local schools and graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 2006. She continued her education at Elmhurst College on a golf scholarship.
Lilli was proud to serve in the U.S. Army, joining in 2009. She found joy in fishing, golf, reading and most importantly, her friends and family.
Lilli is survived by her parents, Jim Moore and Lois (Metzger) Moore; her husband, Jeffery Panttila and daughter, Brinkli; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her beautiful, easy laughter and bright smile will be missed by all that knew her. She so loved her friends, many from childhood, and her loving cat, Mimsy.
A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, Aug. 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Beacon on the Green, the former Rochelle Country Club. Her ashes will be spread at her Uncle Dewey’s farm in Ferryville, Wis., at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the Rochelle Fire Department to be used for Fourth of July fireworks or to HOPE of Ogle County.
