ROCHELLE — Mack DeShazo, 33, of Rochelle, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 in Rochelle. He was born Charles Mack DeShazo on May 10, 1980 in Rockford, the son of David and Judy (Keaster) DeShazo.
He married Nichole Stockton on Dec. 7, 2012 in Rochelle. He was a worship leader at Grace United Church in Rochelle and enjoyed woodworking, landscaping and gardening.
He was an accomplished musician and played in Slick Nickel Band. Mack worked at Rochelle Erectors, Waubonsee Development, and Bushnell Farms.
Survivors include his wife, Nichole; daughters, Madelyn, Morgan, Olivia, and Charli DeShazo, Rylee Jackson, and Sawyer Stockton; parents, David and Judy DeShazo; brothers, Jim (Patty) DeShazo, Todd (Evangeline) Bradham, Bob (Linda) DeShazo, Scott (Misty) Bradham and Ron (Carey) DeShazo; and step-grandmother, Bernetta DeShazo.
He was preceded in death by grandmothers, Margaret Ulrich and Stella Keaster; grandfather, Harold DeShazo; and uncle, Steven Keaster.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 14 at 1 p.m. in the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Road, Stillman Valley. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Stillman Valley Cemetery. Visit www.farrellhollandgale.com.
