New concrete bags games go in at two parks

ROCHELLE —Cornhole, perhaps more commonly referred to as bags, has been increasing in popularity to the point where it is normal to see the game being played at outdoor gatherings, bars or even in organized tournaments. The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District has recently added permanent stone bags boxes to two of its parks.

“We went to a meeting in Huntley last fall and saw the bags sets they had installed in their parks,” said park district recreation coordinator Ryan Coffland. “It seemed like such a good idea that we brought the idea back with us to Rochelle.”
