ROCHELLE — More than 150 attendees visited the Hub City Senior Center’s ninth annual organized “Senior Prom” night on June 21.
The event, which began at 6 p.m. and ended around 9 p.m., included dinner, dancing and entertainment by the band “Wally and the Good Tyme Ramblers.”
“The turnout was very good,” said senior center administrative assistant Val Rimstidt. “Definitely more people than the last few years.”
Staying true to the American tradition, senior center director and event organizer Connie Daugherty also announced the names of this year’s prom king and queen, Leonard Cradduck and Betty Dearth.
