ROCHELLE — The 12U Rochelle Railers won two games at home Saturday afternoon to improve their record to 12-5.
Rochelle’s first game was a close one against Princeton, but the Railers were able to maintain control of the game and pick up the 5-4 win.
John Kisner started on the mound for the Railers and pitched the first two innings.
Johnny Beck relieved Kisner. Beck pitched two innings, allowed no hits or walks and struck out four.
Andrew Johnson threw the final three innings and had two strikeouts.
Johnson also led the Railers offensively along with teammate Lawson Simmons, who were both a perfect 3-3 at the plate. Johnson also had two RBIs and one run scored. Kisner was 2-4 with one run scored. Brady Shank and Zack Bernardin had one hit each. Bernardin also had one run scored.
