DIXON — After taking first in the high jump with a mark of 6’7” at the Northern Illinois Big-12 Conference Track Meet, Chris Weber improved himself to third best in the state.

“Chris was on a big roll Friday night,” said Rochelle Head Coach Chris Weber. “He almost broke the school record, he won conference and he is looking to do well down in Charleston. He couldn’t be having a better senior year.”

Weber was the only varsity champ for Rochelle, but he was joined by three underclassmen who became conference champions in their respective events at the frosh level.

“We have 27 newbies on the team this year, and this was their first conference meet,” Dobbs said. “Winning four events at the frosh/soph level is a big plus for us and our future.”
