CHANA — David Ray Bamborough, 65, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at home after a long illness.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1948 in Rockvale Township, Ogle County, the son of Paul and Elizabeth Holz Bamborough. He married Bonnie Jean Williams on July 3, 1965 in Oregon.
Prior to retiring, David was a printer at Hub Printing. He was an avid outdoors man, he loved to hunt, fish and drink beer. David also loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Bamborough, of Chana; son, James Allen Bamborough, of Oregon; daughter, Lori (Kevin) Bettner, of Oregon; two grandchildren, Lindsey (Ronald) Ingersoll, and Jacob (Caitlyn Wolber) Bettner; and great-grandson, Owen Dean Ingersoll; two brothers, Donald Bamborough of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Joseph (Connie) Bamborough of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and his sister, Carol Wilcox of Rochelle.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth Street, Rochelle, with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.
