llage President Kim Whalen opened last Wednesday night’s board meeting by relaying former trustee Vicki Stewart’s regrets for not being able to attend what would have been her last meeting.
“Vicki could not make her last meeting due to health reasons. She was very upset she could not make her last meeting to say goodbye. She said she enjoyed serving for our village for the past eight years,” reported Whalen.
Following Whalen’s comment, newly elected board member David Long was sworn in Wednesday, as well as re-elected trustees Randall Salsbury and Jim McMullin.
Mark Sparacino was also approved to take over Long’s previous role on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
New member Long voted on agenda items alongside veteran members for the rest of the meeting.
“I want to thank Vicki Stewart for her service and I look forward to helping Hillcrest grow economically,” said Long.
