ROCHELLE — A new two-year contract has been reached with the four union employees of the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District after board members ratified the agreement on Monday during a special meeting.
According to park director Eric Christensen, the contract calls for a .35¢ per hour, across-the-board increase for all union employees in the first year and a .50¢ per hour across-the-board raise in the second year.
Christensen added that no other changes were made in the new agreement from the previous contract.
Park commissioners also approved policy changes with regard to elected officer positions on the board.
All board members being elected to a board office, including president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary, will now hold that title for two years. Previously, those positions were up for re-election every year.
