Posted: Monday, Apr 29th, 2013

ROCHELLE—On Thursday, May 2 at 12 p.m., local non-profit organization Hand in Hand will host “National Prayer Day,” in which residents are invited to come together as a community and pray in front of the American Flag at City Hall, located at 420 north Sixth Street.

The theme for this 62nd annual event is “Pray for America,” in which people can pray for their local communities, as well as the whole nation.

In this nationally organized event, can support the good of the country by praying for government, church, military, family, education, media, business and whatever else they choose.

“It’s so exciting to see the incredible work God is doing in the hearts and lives of people as a result of people coming together in prayer and humiliation before our good Father. He will continue pouring out His blessing, wisdom, grace and everything we need as we commit ourselves to pray regularly on behalf of our communities and nation,” said coordinator and Hand in Hand representative Blanca Winters.
